TECHNOLOGIES - HazPak

The HazPak 3000 is a densification system which provides extremely high levels of efficiency in removal of unwanted residues in order to recover recyclable materials such as steel and paint from used paint tins, oil filters, aerosols and gas cylinders.

Liquid or gaseous residues are recovered and reused or recycled depending upon the waste stream. Toxfree provides a resource recovery and recycling service for a wide range of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and chemical contaminated materials. These include; flammables, corrosives, toxic chemicals, oxidisers and reactives.
General descriptions include: industrial chemical raw materials, obsolete finished product, defective product, byproducts, residue containers, contaminated rags and wipes. Some specifically accepted waste types include:

Packaging

Toxfree offers a specialist service for resource recovery from the following forms of packaging: steel drums, tins, equipment-decontamination and shredding, plastic drums, pails, stretchwrap, pallets, cores, trays, rollers, reels caps and other packaging items.

Metals

Toxfree’s Narangba plant in Brisbane destroys PCB oil and PCB-contaminated oil contained in obsolete electrical transformers and capacitors. Transformers contain significant quantities of copper and steel, which are decontaminated by use of a thermal desorption process resulting in the recovery of clean metal which is subsequently sold for recycling.
